Based on our own in-house developed, variable speed, miniature compressors, we provide the smallest packaged cooling solutions with the highest cooling capacity possible allowing our partners to easily integrate our thermal solutions into small spaces inside their console, chassis, or device.

Aspen’s products, with high efficiency, variable speed, brushless DC motor compressor, have demonstrated higher efficiency than any other compact thermal solution on the market. Thermoelectric-based systems consume up to 5 times more power than Aspen’s products.


While our thermal systems are small, often less than a shoebox, our cooling capacity is not. Powered by our own variable speed miniature compressor, our compact systems produce cooling capacity greater than systems ten times their size. You cannot find this level of cooling in this size package anywhere else.


Aspen offers several standard products which were developed to meet the recurring need for thermal management systems that are compact, reliable, lightweight, and efficient. All of Aspen’s products were designed in-house by our team of engineers and are manufactured in-house by our trained technicians. Each product that ships goes through a performance test, and rigorous leak tests, and is thoroughly inspected to make sure it meets Aspen’s quality standards.

Liquid Chiller Module (LCM) Series

Aspen developed a series of liquid chiller modules to satisfy customers who aim to use Aspen’s miniature refrigeration expertise, but ultimately want to package and interface the refrigeration circuit into their system. This product provides the core cooling system (compressor, condenser, expansion valve, evaporator) and allows the end user to adapt to the coolant fittings for ultimate flexibility.

The miniature LCM has been used in a wide variety of industries including medical, life science, laboratory instruments, electronics cooling, laser cooling, and personal cooling.

Environmental Control Unit (ECU) Series

Aspen’s ECU Series are ruggedized miniature air conditioning systems designed and developed specifically to meet the demands of the military operational environment. The ECU cools, heats, or dehumidifies the air in an operational transit case and is used by multiple programs to condition rack-mounted COTS electronics in mobile military systems. Fully qualified for military use, the ECU Series is shipping into multiple programs including WIN-T and JLTV.
